Survivors Express Artistry and Empowerment at Voices Of Strength
On a Saturday evening in late January, The Carrollwood Cultural Center was alive with music and art as survivors of sexual assault participated in a transformative opportunity to raise their voices and express their personal journey of recovery, empowerment and strength at the 3rd annual Voices of Strength: Night of Expression.
Voices of Strength: Night of Expression is presented by the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay through Empowerment Services in conjunction with the Sexual Violence Task Force of Tampa Bay. The event provides the creative opportunity for survivors to express their resiliency and empowerment. This is a night of healing, embracing
life and inspiration using artistic expression.
Participants expressed healing through interpretive dance, poetry, artwork, song, monologues, comedy and other creative expressions. These expressions highlighted transformation, empowerment and the many forms of strength. The event showcased a variety of survivor talent and revealed the inspirational journeys of human resiliency.
The event is one of many survivor empowerment initiatives coordinated by The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay's Sexual Assault Services. If you or someone you know
