You wash your hands. You wash your hair. You wash your skin.

But what if all that was secondary in importance to washing your brain?

What if the residue that has built up inside our heads needs a thorough cleanse after years of bombardment from pop culture, the chattering classes, and conventional wisdom?

And what if Good Shepherd is just the place to start?

BrainWashing.  Because we believe that great living begins with healthy thinking.

Notes Received at Good Shepherd

To my beloved church family,

Please accept my deepest thank you thoughts for the beautiful flowers sent to me on behalf of the sudden loss of my only brother (age 67) in Ohio. Also, I appreciate the flowers for my abdominal surgery. My heart and body have been filled with sadness and pain now for several months. Throughout both ordeals, I found comfort and peace knowing so very many precious Christian friends have been lifting prayers to our almighty Savior on my behalf. I attended the GS Healing Service the very night before my surgery. My life group surrounded me with their love, tenderness and prayers. The praying team fervently prayed the surgeons would find no cancer!  There was no cancer!!  Praise to all the mighty praying warriors for my loss and soon, my return to health.

Thanks to Dennis Sult and Talbot Davis for their visits. I especially want to thank my many Christian friends who reached out to help me with the simplest things, but most important for my recovery.
It is so very hard to ask for help when one is handicapped.

But, I asked the Lord to help me learn to ask.  I did ask and the floodgates opened with folks eager to help with anything.

Amen to all of you wonderful Christian friends!  Jean Obi

Have luggage lying around that you no longer need? Our Haiti mission team could use it!  A group of GS students are heading to Port Au Prince this June and need additional luggage and/or large duffle bags that can be used to pack up the donated supplies we will be sharing with them.  If you have something we can use, please contact Devin Tharp at devintharp@gsumc.org.
On Eagles Wings Ministry
Volunteer Opportunity

Saturday, June 27

10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Many of you remember the miracle God worked through the people of Good Shepherd to provide a home for rescued girls in cooperation with our friends at On Eagles Wings Ministry. OEWM seeks to prevent females from falling victim to sex trafficking, offer assistance to those still trapped, and restore those that have survived by offering hope, empowerment, and a brighter future.

On June 27 from 10:00 - 3:00 OEWM will offer a volunteer training event at Good Shepherd Moss Road campus for those interested in getting involved in the ministry. Lunch will be provided. If you are over 18 and wish to attend this training, please go to www.oneagleswingsministries.org and click, "Get Involved". There will be a list of drop down questions for you to complete which will enroll you for the training. If you wish to volunteer in preparing, serving, and cleaning up after lunch, please contact Brenda Emmons at development@oewm.net.
