NEW Y-FIT GYM

NOW OPEN!
There is Fit... and then there is Y-Fit!

In our NEW Y-Fit Gym, members can drop in for the "workout of the day" and train like athletes! This cross training room includes a rig with a barbell rack, pull-ups bars with assistance bands, gym rings, TRX suspension trainers, wall balls, plyo boxes, kettlebells, jump ropes, a rowing machine, battle ropes, and plenty of open space for body weight exercises! All of these elements can be combined in endless ways for high intensity workouts that are functional and varied...bringing you a new challenge each day!

Want to complete your 'workout of the day" in a group setting under the guidance of a trainer? We will be offering classes throughout the week at various times starting January 11th!

Feeling stuck? Bored of your usual routine? Ready to take your fitness to the next level? Now is the time to become Y-Fit!

The Y-Fit Gym is open for drop-in use by members 18 years of age and older anytime that the YMCA is open and a scheduled class is not in session.

JANUARY IS MENTORING MONTH
CHANGE TWO LIVES TODAY - BECOME A MENTOR!
SCHOOL-BASED MENTORING PROGRAM School-Based Mentoring pairs Mankato area public school students with adult mentors for lunch or other school activities once a week. For the students, it's an adult who will listen without judging, talk without preaching and take a genuine interest in how things are going. In other words, a friend. For the mentor, it's making a difference in a child's life.
BROTHER/SISTER MENTORING PROGRAM The Brother/Sister program creates a unique bridge connecting caring adult mentors to youth. Mentors help youth increase their self-confidence, social and communication skills, positive behaviors and and help improve relationships at home, school and within the community. Making a positive difference in the life of a kid who needs it. That's the role and reward of the Brother/Sister volunteer.
