SOME HINTS AND TIPS:

-The app is available for both IOS and Android smartphones.

-After downloading, make sure to go to "Settings" and accept "Push Notifications" to receive class cancellations and announcements about the facility. Push notifications will only be sent for facility and cancellation information.

-Under "Member Check-In, enter the 6 digit number from your membership card to generate a bar code that will allow you to enter the Y without your physical card. This bar code can only be generated from one phone. Our new scanner at the front desk will read your smartphone and allow you access.

-There are multiple schedules, events, and programs to browse. If you are interested in attending an event or signed up for a class, you can click on the small plus/calendar icon to add that event onto your personal calendar to help make scheduling a breeze!

-The "Message Center" within the app is a current source for information and non-emergency notifications. Watch for notifications to stay up to date.

-If you have any immediate questions or need some help downloading the app from the Apple Store or Google Play, email here with your questions.

Saying Farewell

"This group of board members has done so much for the Y and has led us through so many positive changes. Their dedication to our mission of serving community needs has made us a better place.
They left it better than they found it."

After losing Chesley Skate Park to a fire a month ago there are already plans to find an interim location for the users of the park.

The Y met with the Mankato City Council on Monday, March 3rd to determine if the vacant Fire Station No. 1 on Madison Avenue can serve as a temporary home for misplaced skaters, bladers, and bikers until long term reconstruction plans have begun.

The city seems willing to allow the Fire Station to be a short-term location, but the Y needs to reach out to the local neighborhood near the Station to hear their questions, concerns, and receive their blessing.

The Y's primary concern is for the kids that frequented the park as well as the community. More decisions will be made concerning the details of the rebuild as soon as possible.

Thank you all for your support!
