Eryn Balch from the North American Olive Oil Association (NAOOA) will be presenting on our Industry Outreach Day at the 11th Annual CAFÉ Leadership Conference, June 18-20, in Niagara Falls, New York.

What do you think you know about olive oil?

        • All olive oils are basically the same?
        • You can't cook with olive oil because the smoke point is too low?
        • You can't get good quality olive oil in the U.S.?
        • They don't share any of the same characteristics as wine?
        • And more!

Formed in 1989 and headquartered in Neptune, New Jersey, the NAOOA advocates for global olive oil standards enforcement and fair competitive trade, as the U.S. is the largest importer of olive oil in the world.  Promotion efforts focus on fostering a clear understanding of the different grades of olive oil and to making consumers aware of the taste, versatility and health benefits of olive oil.

Before entering the olive oil industry, Mrs. Balch worked for a leading U.S. hospitality technology company in roles ranging from sales and marketing to product development and training.  She holds a Master's in Business Administration from Syracuse University and a B.S. in Public Relations & Journalism.
