RECAP FROM THE DEANS AND DIRECTORS RETREAT

I believe that the speakers were awesome!  We heard from leaders in their field helping us understate what a shared vision is, how hiring and training people can make you successful, ways to use technology to make student assessment more consistent and relevant; ways to brand our programs and why we should be doing that; why re-building ourselves boils down to knocking on doors and answering knocks on doors; and faculty development brings us all back to that shared vision.

I congratulate the attendees for their participation and I'll be sharing some of their testimonials.  We started off with identifying what is working and what isn't in our programs...and everyone put on their problem-solving and solution-sharing hats so that the interaction and networking was successful.

A Deans and Directors Council may be on the horizon...stay tuned!
