CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS DEADLINE EXTENDED TO NOVEMBER 22
Attention all Foodservice Educators: Are you interested in presenting at the 2014 CAFÉ Leadership Conference during the Educational Best Practices Day? We are looking for proposals for presentations and roundtable discussions.
You might think of something along our theme of our 10th Conference such as:

- 10 tips for demonstratons

The theme for the 2014 postsecondary Deans and Directors Retreat is "Managing Change." The event, limited to 50 participants from postsecondary culinary/baking/pastry/hospitality programs, will focus on general approaches to change as well as specific elements facing our programs now and in the future.
Experts will address the group and lead them in a discussion on topics ranging from student retention to effective branding techniques.
The event will be held in Chicago, hosted by Kendall College, February 21-23, 2014.
There is an opening night reception (transportation provided from/to the hotel and the college) sponsored by Idaho products. Saturday and Sunday will feature speakers, panels, and conversations...all relevant to Deans and Directors of foodservice-related programs.

The hotel block at the Residence Inn (near Water Tower) has studio suites for $124/night and is good until Friday January 31, 2014.

The "Faces of Diversity Award" will recognize three individuals as the national winners who will have a $2,500 NRAEF student scholarship presented in their name.
Applications and nomination forms will be accepted online at NRAEF.org/Awards until November 18, 2013. The national winners will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, DC where they will be recognized at a gala awards dinner during the National Restaurant Association's Public Affairs Conference on April 29, 2014.

From carton to plate, chefs can rely on the IPC Size Guide, Virtual Plate Sizing Guide (compares plate coverage of 50-count, 60-count and 70-count potatoes), and handy Cost per Serving chart to specify the perfect Idaho® potato for their needs.
