Pre-Conference Event!

Steve Jilleba, CMC, corporate chef for Unilever Foodsolutions, world competition judge and 2012 Manager of the U.S. Culinary Olympics Team, will present a special pre-conference workshop on winning competitions, the do’s and don’t to the attendees of the CAFÉ Leadership Conference.
The seminar will be limited to 50 attendees and will directly precede the opening night reception at Miami Culinary Institute/Miami Dade College. CAFÉ will provide bus transportation to the college for the seminar and attendees who are registered for the conference and for the seminar will be welcome to be a part of this pre-opening event.
If you have guests who would like to attend the reception, they can come on the later bus from the hotel to the host school. You will join them at the end of the seminar at the same facility.
If you would like to attend: (1) you must be registered for the conference; (2) you must send an email stating your intention to attend to [email protected] .
The first 50 attendees who contact us will be given seats for this event!
We appreciate Chef Jilleba’s willingness to present to our attendees on the specific topic of winning competitions and about the U.S. journey to the culinary Olympics.
Secondary and Postsecondary instructors are welcome to attend this session which will begin Thursday, June 20th at 5 p.m. and go until 6:30 p.m., followed by the Opening Night Reception of the 9th Annual CAFÉ Leadership Conference.

Congratulations to the Winners
The winners of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board’s “Why I Love Wisconsin Cheese” video contest are: Daryl Nosek from SUNY Westchester Community College in New York; Michele Gaw from Cayahoga Community College in Ohio; Chris Bugher from Mountwest Community and Technical College in W. Virginia; Claire Menck from Art Institute in Wisconsin, and Colin Roche from Johnson & Wales University in N. Miami.
The winners will enjoy a trip to Wisconsin this summer to experience cheesemaking with Chef Regi Hise at Emmi Roth; will attend the American Cheese Society National Conference; have dinner at L’Etoile; and go to the Festival of Cheese!
