As part of National Bike Month, Downtown Ferndale encourages you to ride your bike to Downtown Ferndale all month long and save your quarters for a lot of other great reasons! Like shopping for something fun for you or dining out downtown with friends. 

 

Throughout the month, Downtown Ferndale businesses and the DDA are featuring many special events and deals to take part in the bike movement. 

• May 7/14/21/28: Bike Night "Quarter Rolls" every Thursday in May, led by the Downtown Ferndale Bike Shop -- meet at 7pm.
• May 11-15:  Bike to Work Week "Quarter" Deals at local businesses. Everything on the 1/4 or 25. 
• May 15:  Bike to Work Day After Parties
• May 21:  Bike Night Activities
  • Bicycle helmet and tire checks by Downtown Ferndale Bike Shop
  • Bike registration by Ferndale Police Auxilliary
  • Quarter Roll
• On-street Bike Corrals on Woodward and Nine Mile, and Bike Racks throughout Downtown Ferndale
• Bike Lanes & Sharrows Getting You to Your Destination!

 

This is your downtown! We know you have ideas and dreams for it, so come and share those with us! 

 

The Ferndale DDA is preparing for the next decade of economic development and what our community envisions for Downtown Ferndale. Join us to be a part of this visioning session workshop led by National Main Street consultant Thom Guzman, and help us define who we will be by 2025. 

This workshop is open to the public, and we highly encourage property owners, business owners, residents and local organizations to be a part of the action. 

 

Save the date:  Monday, May 18 from 5:30-9:30pm at InkAddict, 22007 Wooward Avenue (northwest corner of Woodward and Marshall).

Concrete work will continue and be completed this week. On May 11, milling is tentatively scheduled to start and it is highly recommended that pedestrians cross at dedicated crossing points. 

 

Coming soon... lane closures at Woodward and E9 Mile will occur temporarily between the hours of 9am-3pm for work on the pedestrian crossing ramps. Stay tuned for exact dates.
