Sept. 20, 2013

Greetings!

The streetscape is beginning to emerge!  Piece by piece, bit by bit, the plan we envisioned so long ago is starting to show itself.  While it is hard to believe that bike racks could be thrilling, we were thrilled to learn that\ two had been placed.  And I hope you'll be as pleased as we were to learn that the sidewalks on the south side should be done by the end of next week!

More progress as follows:

Work completed last week:

  • Electrical conduits and light pole foundations were completed.
  • Sidewalk and driveway work started on south side.
  • Bike racks on south side were installed.
  • Base course concrete was placed on side streets.

Next week:

  • Milling of south side asphalt, scheduled to begin Sept. 25.
  • Brick pavers installed, completion by Sept. 27
  • Sidewalks, including colored concrete, completion Sept. 27
  • Driveways should be finished so there will be interruptions as gaps are filled.
  • Installation of 46 light poles to begin.

  • Electrical controls and power sources to be installed.
