| Getting closer to open -- Taco Bell gets finishing touches to its new faade. |
Sept. 6 ,2013
Greetings!
Our construction meeting this week was short and filled with good news. All work is proceeding on schedule and all the different elements of the final streetscape are arriving for installation. That means we should not be held up by any "production" delays, ie, street poles, bike loops, etc. The different trades have been doing a super job on keeping pace with each other -- electrical, irrigation, grading, etc. are all happening as planned. And that hardly ever happens! It is a testimony to a great team and excellent project management.
The week ahead:
- All underground electrical should be done by mid-week.
- Pouring of more 12 inch aggregate base for permeable concrete in parking bays.
- Sidewalk installs scheduled to begin Wednesday -- two weeks for completion.
- Expect interruptions to driveways as work is completed.
- Art Fair weekend will confound traffic. Please advise your customers of street closures - West Nine between Woodward & Planavon, Thursday thru Sunday - and recommend alternative route. Also closed will be East Nine between Woodward & Bermuda and East Troy, from Woodward to City Hall Parking Lot.
Save the Date!
We are planning a Hoe Down to celebrate the completion of How the West was One for Saturday, Oct. 26. It will be held in conjunction with Downtown Ferndale's annual and very popular Trick or Treat night. Details TBD. If you'd like to plan the party with us, please call.
As usual, call 248-546-1632 if you have questions, concerns or ideas on how we can assist you. We are here to help!
