
New curbs outline wider sidewalks, narrower West Nine!
June 13, 2013 Greetings from West Nine! Wow! We are nearly at the end of The Big Dig. With the new water main now installed, next week's work will focus on final service connections and two big main line tie ins. Then begins the "Gussy Up" phase of the project and slowly but surely, the future will start to show up. Until then: Work Scheduled to Be Completed by Saturday, June 15: - Friday/6/14/13 - Main line connection at North Livernois, shut down for up to 6 hours affecting residents on Livernois from Nine Mile to Cambourne.
- Saturday 6/15/13 - Farmdale connection. 6 hour water service interruption will begin at 1 pm and will affect ALL RESIDENTS on
TROY & SARATOGA, between Livernois & Farmdale. Farmdale will be closed to traffic ALL day.
What to Expect in the Week Ahead: - Monday 6/17 -Friday 6/21- Final service connections for all businesses between Livernois & Planavon. Water service interruptions up to 1 hour. Businesses will be notified ahead of time.
- Wednesday 6/19 or Thursday 6/20 - Final main line connection at Planavon! Will involve up to 6 hour water service interruption for businesses located between Planavon west to Spaulding Curtin, both north & south side of West Nine.
- Continuation of underground electrical work for streetscape.
- Continuation of curbwork, driveways, etc.
Gussy Up I Begins - Monday 6/24 - Sidewalk installs begin, north side.
