United Way Days of Impact: April 26-28
Shout out to the amazing volunteer teams from local businesses that made our first ever Days of Impact a success! Over 350 employee volunteers fanned out across the county during three days of service to support area nonprofits and schools in the areas of Education, Income and Health. Projects included moving a family into housing, reading to students, packing food donations, and participating in a financial education simulation with students! Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity's busy ReStore needs Hands On Flex volunteers to help accept donations. Receiving lane volunteers interact with donors, accept donations, and take the donations to the appropriate bin or ReStore department. This is a fun opportunity for a small team to work together, and for those who enjoy seeing treasure arrive as they interact with community donors. LEARN MORE & SIGN UP>
V.E.G. (Verner Experiential Garden)
Join Verner Center for Early Learning parents, families and other Hands On Flex volunteers to help keep up with the maintenance of their beautiful garden. Projects will vary each month, but will include planting, weeding, mulching, harvesting, and other necessary work.
