On this Thanksgiving weekend, you may be thinking about ways that you can give back to others during the upcoming holiday season. Hands On is excited to offer an assortment of holiday volunteer & donation opportunities.

Books & Gifts For Middle Schoolers

United Way is partnering with Barnes & Noble again this year to support efforts to put beloved young-adult books in the hands of middle school students this holiday season! Make this holiday brighter for local middle schoolers by donating items from this wishlist. Drop off books and gifts at United Way - 50 S. French Broad Ave by December 14.

BOOK FAIR (any Barnes & Noble nationwide and online)

If you plan to do any holiday shopping this week, please keep this in mind: Barnes & Noble has selected United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County as a recipient of a week-long book fair: THIS Saturday, November 28 until Friday, December 4! A percentage of your purchase total at retail locations or on www.BN.com will be donated to UWABC. All you have to do is enter this code at checkout: 11657244.

BOOK DRIVE (Asheville Mall)

The Barnes & Noble (Asheville Mall) Book Drive continues through December. You will see middle school appropriate books near the checkout line. We hope you'll purchase a book for a middle schooler this holiday season. Thanks!
