It's the perfect chance to purchase holiday gifts such as DVDs, educational toys, games, CDs, and of course - books! Since the code is valid at all locations and online, please be sure to share with family and friends. You can even print vouchers with the number on them by clicking here.

Giving Tuesday:  TODAY
Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday. This time of year there's a big emphasis on getting a great deal on gifts for those you love.  Well, now another day is being promoted: #GivingTuesday.  TODAY, December 2nd is a day devoted to giving back to our communities! We know that it takes all kinds of giving to make our community strong: Giving, Advocating and Volunteering are ALL essential components to improving our world. Help us spread the word that United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County is a great place to give back.

Hands On Managed Projects

Flex Icon Flex Projects are done-in-a-day projects led by a Hands On Volunteer Leader. Most Flex Projects take place on evenings or weekends and last 1-3 hours. Flex Projects don't require an ongoing commitment or any advance training, and many are family friendly!

Portable Project Icon
Portable Projects allow you to volunteer any time or place you want. They're easy to do on your own or with a group. Consider getting your family, friends, faith community, or co-workers together to help with a Portable Project.

Upcoming Partner Projects & Events

Help students in Asheville City Schools learn to code! "The Hour of Code" is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. No programing knowledge is necessary - volunteers simply need to be comfortable with a computer to help assist our classroom facilitator. Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the schoolday at various schools all NEXT WEEK (12/8-12)! Sign up...

Did you know that transportation is a top need of cancer patients? You can help! For many cancer patients, getting to and from treatment is one of their toughest challenges. American Cancer Society needs volunteer drivers for their "Road to Recovery" program to provide rides to treatment for people with cancer. Every mile lights another birthday candle.  Learn more...

Attention Sports Fans!! In Real Life, a local network of after-school enrichment programs for Asheville City Schools middle school students, needs an individual(s) to create a lesson plan for and lead a basketball program (Jan-Mar 2015) for Middle School students aged 11-14. Learn more...
