Our friendly and knowledgeable Volunteer Leader is available to help you find the service opportunity that's right for you.  Starting May 6th, Hands On 101 office hours will be Tuesdays, 2:00-4:00 pm. Schedule in advance to meet one-on-one in our office to help you:

• Search our extensive Hands On database for service opportunities based on your skills, interests, and availability
• Create a Member Account
• Sign up / Express Interest for projects directly through our website and receive project details and reminders by email

Habitat for Humanity ReStore

Asheville's Habitat wishes to recognize its dedicated ReStore volunteers with ongoing appreciation for their essential work that ranks among the top most successful ReStores in the nation!

 Our newest Flex volunteers will make sure the hospitality area is fully-stocked with coffee/tea, will keep the info bulletin board up-to-date, post announcements, and spruce-up the area with encouraging banners and seasonal decorations (often found right on the sales floor!). Additionally, volunteers will help create "goody bags" of treats and notes of thanks to appreciate those who advance Habitat's mission through commitments of service.

If you've honed your photography skills as a professional or avid hobbyist, Hands On is offering a volunteer opportunity to show your community involvement to partner with one of the most recognizable community organizations in the area - United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County!

While we rarely have the budget for a professional photographer, United Way events offer exposure and a chance to meet a network of influential and engaged community leaders and volunteers. We know your time is valuable and will recognize your services in our online galleries and promotional materials for United Way.
