Hands On Asheville-Buncombe

Dear Volunteers,

Welcome to the March edition of the Hands On Asheville-Buncombe e-newsletter.

March 8 is International Women's Day!
On this day each year thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements.  In some countries IWD has the equivalent status of our Mother's Day where children give small presents to their mothers and grandmothers. Take this opportunity to thank the women who have made a difference in your life.  Or consider participating in a service opportunity this month that directly impacts women in our community.  Do your part to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding!

Hands On Blog

Check out the new Hands On Blog! We are excited to offer another way to share the latest volunteer news and happenings in our area to compliment the e-newsletter and Facebook. Throughout the month we'll post new and upcoming service opportunities managed by Hands On, United Way and our nonprofit partners.  We'll also use the blog to highlight stories and share articles around volunteerism to inspire and inform.  We hope you'll follow us!
