a blooming attitude

My sister-in-law Margo's flowers at her house in New York are SIMPLY GORGEOUS. Healthy. Colorful. Vibrant. Full. Alive.

I can tell Margo lovingly cares for her blooms with much attention and love. Surely she must water the flowers daily; and knowing her, she probably sings karaoke to them. (I love you, sweet Margo.)

I was thinking about Margo's gorgeous flowers after we left their house last weekend, and how healthy and vibrant they look. And I figured out why. Margo is an upbeat, happy, zesty and vivacious woman with a large heart and a fantastic disposition. She literally blooms.

She wears a consistent smile. Her pretty green eyes sparkle. She is loving. She is a toucher. She has a great sense of humor. She is a wonderful listener. She rarely complains. She views the UP side. Margo skips along in life. It is easy to see how much she appreciates living. She is grateful. She loves humans. She feels blessed.

Margo gives to people and to life what she gives to her flowers: much attention, time and love. She waters her relationships daily and reaps the benefits of seeing them bloom, just like her flowers.

And so, whatever she touches: her marriage, her relationships with siblings, step-daughter, nieces and nephews; her clients at the hair salon, her Persian cat Sasha, her house, her hobbies, and her flower pots - are all blooming and thriving - because that is the attitude with which Margo waters them.

How are you handling the "blooms" in your life? Are you drenching them with complaints and negativity ... or ... are you putting forth good energy and a loving, positive blooming attitude?

Help the world to bloom.
