Our 2016 Annual Benefit Art Auction is on February 27 - just a few weeks away! Check out our amazing auction website for art previews and tickets. And we're seeking volunteers for the auction too, so if you're interested in finding out more click here. Applications for our EDGE Program for Literary Artists are due soon - January 18. If you are a literary artist, writer of poetry, prose, or non-fiction, consider applying today!
Finally, we're hosting some fun events in Olympia on January 30 - a marketing workshop and a salon & reception for artists to come meet and mingle. We'll also have open 'office hours' for anyone who wants to find out more about Artist Trust programs and grants! If you are in the area please come out and join us.

Join Kelsye Nelson as she teaches artists of all disciplines how to effectively navigate the marketing world and optimize your social media presence. Kelsye Nelson is an author and publishing professional. She teaches the Business of Digital Publishing course at the University of Washington and is the founder of Avasta Press. She's also the co-founder and former CEO of Writer.ly, an online marketplace that connects writers to publishing professionals. Nelson helps authors across genres publish their books, offering invaluable experience in launch strategy, publishing on various platforms, marketing, and author platform building.

EDGE for Literary Artists will take place in Port Townsend March 13-20, 2016. The EDGE Program provides artists with a comprehensive survey of professional practices through a hands-on, interactive curriculum that includes instruction by professionals in the field, as well as specialized presentations, panel discussions and assignments. The EDGE Program focuses on supplying artists with the relevant and necessary entrepreneurial skills to achieve their personal career goals and with the opportunity to develop peer support and exchange. Open to emerging or mid-career writers of poetry, fiction and nonfiction. For more information and an application click here.

Applications for the Irving and Yvonne Twining Humber Award are closing soon - the deadline is February 8, so get your application in today!
The Irving and Yvonne Twining Humber Award is an unrestricted award given annually to a Washington State self-identified woman visual artist, age 60 or over, who has dedicated 25 or more years of her life to creating art. The award recognizes creative excellence, professional accomplishment and dedication to the arts. This award is made possible by a generous gift to the Artist Trust Endowment Fund from the late Yvonne Twining Humber.
