July 1, 2014
I've been serving as Interim Director of Artist Trust for just over two months now, and have been having a great time. And I am happy to report that Artist Trust is growing!
One of my first tasks was to conduct an organization assessment, and one of the outcomes of that assessment was to restructure the staff to enable AT to more effectively fulfill our mission of supporting art at its source: artists of all disciplines throughout Washington State. As a result of this restructuring, I am excited to let you know that AT is hiring four new positions (not including the Executive Director position that closes on July 3). We are confident that this expanded staff will be able to more effectively meet the needs of artists throughout the state.

Meet the Artist: David Boxley
|
Read all about 2013 Fellowship recipient David Boxley's Meet the Artist event at the Burke Museum at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he did a carving demonstration and spoke about his work to over 100 museum-goers!
Artist Trust's Meet the Artist program is an integral component of the annual Artist Trust Fellowships. Every Fellowship recipient presents an event outside of their geographic area of residence or to a community that would not ordinarily have access to their work. Meet the Artist bridges our artistic community with the diverse communities in Washington State, increasing awareness about the vital roles the arts and artists play in our culture.
