Are you going on vacation this summer? The warm season often has people jetting off for excitement and adventure. Here the Three Girls team shares their favorite vacation memories:
Erika- I've been fortunate to have been on some pretty great vacations over
the years, but two of my favorites were week-long cruises, one to Alaska and another to Mexico for my honeymoon. I love everything about cruising - the room with a balcony so you can sit out and enjoy the sea air and enjoy the sights, the incredible food, being able to stop and do various activities at each port - and so much more! Alaska is my absolute favorite vacation destination and I'm super excited that my husband and I are taking another cruise there for our 8th wedding anniversary later this year.
Natalie- I really loved the trip to NYC I took with my parents when I was 16. It was really exciting to see all of the places that are so iconic and that I always saw on TV and in the movies. The highlight for me was being in the audience of TRL and meeting Mariah Carey, as well as meeting James Earl Jones at a Broadway show.
Emily- I think my favorite vacation was probably the trip my family took to Europe when I was about 12. We spent the first week in Austria and Switzerland with my mom's wind symphony, which was attending a world band convention. We had tons of fun seeing the sights in places like Salzburg and staying in fancy hotels with the whole group. Then we flew to Scandinavia where we spent about 5 days in Norway, meeting my dad's distant cousins he'd never met and seeing places my grandfather and great grandparents lived and grew up before immigrating to the U.S. We ended the trip with a couple of days in Sweden visiting some family friends that had moved back about 10 years before, where we got to swim in the lake behind their house. It was a really fun trip!
Beth- My favorite vacation was my honeymoon in Nicaragua nearly two years
ago. We spent time relaxing by the pool, tasting local cuisine, listening to the sounds of the jungle and soaking up the sun on the beach. It was such a great trip away from reality and exploring the area was a fun way to start our married lives together!
Danielle- I have two favorite vacations. The first was when I was 14 or 15. I went with a friend and her family to Edmonton, Canada for spring break. The whole experience from flying to staying in our own room was new, and at that age it was a lot of freedom my parents gave me. The other vacation was a few years ago when we went to sun lakes for a week long camping trip. We spent the week playing in the water, sitting around a fire at night and watching the stars. It was the first family vacation we went on and Bailee was old enough to enjoy it with us.
