Hi Friends and Colleagues,
Happy Friday! Have you experienced any April showers or is it all sunshine and flowers? We've been experiencing a bit of both in the Pacific Northwest and I love seeing the gorgeous trees and flowers blooming.
Since today is the day in history that the famed ship Titanic sunk, in this edition of Hip Happenings the Three Girls team shares their favorite moments from the movie "Titanic." Plus, keep reading to meet our newest clients, Jennifer Burl and Michelle-Leal Norsworthy, and see some of the great media coverage we secured for our clients in the last couple of weeks.

Three Girls Gossip
In honor of the 104th anniversary of the sinking of the ill-fated ship Titanic, the Three Girls team is sharing their thoughts on the Oscar winning film:
Erika- I love the first interior shots of the ship that show its over-the-top grandeur and elegance. I also love that Rose is a woman who isn't afraid to transcend social convention of the day and do what she wants to do regardless of it. That's especially obvious is the party scene below deck where Jack convinces Rose to dance & spit.
Jenna- My favorite thing about the movie "Titanic" is Kate Winslet's portrayal of Rose. She is a strong woman who stays strong despite a tragedy.
Natalie- I love every scene in this movie. It's been at the top of my list of favorite movies since my dad took me to see it in theaters when I was 7. The scenes that pop out are the First Class dinner scene, the "real party" under the deck, when Jack teaches Rose to spit and of course when she shoved his frozen grip off the door because she can't share. ;) Molly Brown is memorable and so is "a real man makes his own luck."
Emily- It's been so long since I saw that movie (and now I feel like I should see it again!), but I remember thinking the dancing below deck looked so fun, and I loved the musical score. I also think that overall the juxtaposition of the classes showed how vastly different their lives were. Molly Brown was one of my favorite characters, too!

Client Chitchat
We are very excited about two of our newest clients: Jennifer Burl and Michelle-Leal Norsworthy.
Jennifer Burl is increasing awareness about America's, and specifically New Hampshire's, opioid and heroin drug epidemic. She is calling on treatment
program administrators, law makers and government officials to increase support for current addicts and prevent addiction before it starts. Following her brother Paul Cardin's tragic death from a heroin overdose while he was waiting for a bed to open up at a live-in drug treatment program, Jennifer is on a mission to draw attention to the serious need for policy reform and program creation to help addicts in New Hampshire where the opioid and heroin epidemic have made national headlines. Keep reading for more information on Jennifer Burl and her fight for reform.
Michelle-Lael Norsworthy is an advocate for all transgendered men and women to identify as they choose and be treated with compassion. She made
national and international news following her victory in the court case Norsworthy v. Beard, that set a precedent for the State of California being required to pay for sexual reassignment surgery for transgender inmates. Nearly one in six transgender individuals have been incarcerated at some point in their lives. Michelle-Lael's background as a transsexual inmate has fueled her passion to give a voice to other incarcerated transgendered persons, now that she is a free woman. Visit Michelle-Lael's GoFundMe page to assist with her goal in creating a transitional home for transgendered men and women and click here for more information about Michelle-Lael's story and journey.
