Three Girls Gossip

April Fools' Day is fraught with tricks and pranks that some of our Three Girls' Team may or may not have fun with. Here's what each of them think of the jokes and deception that happen the first day of April:

Erika- I agree with most of my team mates that I don't like being lied to or deceived on April 1st. The last April Fools' stunt I fell for was a few years ago. My personal trainer sent out an e-newsletter saying that she was moving to Alaska and I bought into it. I emailed her wishing her well only to get a response letting me know it was a joke!

Beth- I'm not too big on pranks or jokes for April Fools' Day, but one year in high school a couple of my friends decided to roll saran wrap all around a mutual friend's car during school hours. It took them a long time to get it off after school and it was pretty funny; they definitely took the joke well!

Jenna- I really dislike April Fools' Day; I'm just not a big fan of lying or pranks. The only one I can remember from when I was a kid was my mom had my siblings and me tell my father that the place he volunteered had called and asked for him to work that night. However, I didn't really understand the concept of what we were doing so I said "April Fools!" before what we told him really had a chance to sink in.

Natalie- I usually forget about April Fools' Day, but in the 6th grade the teachers put Kool-Aid in the water bottles we had out in the portables.

Emily- I'm not a huge fan of April Fools' Day because I'm so gullible (I believed my brother when he told me gullible wasn't in the dictionary), but I do enjoy seeing how creative some people and companies get. Fortunately I haven't fallen for anything too crazy or embarrassing, but I think my favorite April Fools' Day joke was when ThinkGeek listed Tauntaun Sleeping Bags on their website and so many people believed it was real and tried to order it that they actually turned it into a real item!
