THREE GIRLS GOSSIP

Are you enjoying your summer so far? The Three Girls team recently took a trip down memory lane to reminisce about what they used to look forward to most during summer break when they were kids. Here are a few of their highlights:

Erika: "One of the things I looked forward to the most was going to twirling camp. I competitively twirled batons until I was 14 (pictured right), and used to go to a week-long camp in California's Santa Cruz mountains each summer. I remember that there were always HUGE banana slugs around that grossed us out, but I loved hanging out with my friends and coming up with silly skits to do during the camp talent show."

Natalie: "Every summer I used to look forward to going to Lake Fair in Olympia, Washington. I used to make the colorful sand designs and split elephant ears with my dad and grandma."

Emily: "I think my favorite part about summer was the different trips we'd go on. Sometimes we'd have family reunions in South Dakota or Colorado, which meant we'd get to see all sorts of landmarks and play with cousins, which was always lots of fun. Every year we always went to camp in California's Santa Cruz mountains, too, which meant hiking, creek walking, crafts, fun games, delicious treats and usually a trip to the Boardwalk to enjoy all sorts of fun rides!"

Beth: "I was a Girl Scout for about 12 years so I went to plenty of camps in the summertime. My favorite one was Camp River Ranch in Carnation, Washington. They had an incredibly serene lake that was always reflective and blue-green colored during the summer. We'd go canoeing and play a game called the 'Tippy Test,' where we would tip the boats over and practice getting back up. It was fun and taught me a lot about survival skills!"

CLIENT CHITCHAT
Check out one of our newest clients!

Lark & Leaf's premium Amaranth Microgreen Tea is the very first tea of its kind, made with Microgreens grown on a family farm in Northern California. The nutritious, delicious tea is infused with nutrient rich Garnet Amaranth Microgreens as well as whole-leaf green tea, ginger root, lemon grass and lemon myrtle.

What are Microgreens? "Microgreens" are tiny, tender, edible greens that germinate in soil, or a soil substitute, from the seeds of vegetables and herbs. Smaller than "baby greens," and harvested later than "sprouts," Microgreens can provide a variety of leaf flavors, including sweet and spicy. They are also known for their various colors and textures. Microgreens are often plated on gourmet soups, salads and entrees, and now are in this one of a kind Amaranth Microgreen Tea.

Blogging Tips - 3 Lessons on Proofreading: For a writer, sometimes proofreading can be the most painful part of the job. You may have just spent a considerable amount of time writing a lengthy article full of helpful tips or crafting a post about a movie you just saw and are eager to send it out. Unfortunately, grammar and punctuation errors can discredit even the best of writers. Review these three tips for proofreading before posting your next masterpiece.

4 Social Media Marketing Lessons from a Day at the Park: You might be surprised how many social media marketing lessons you can learn from a day at the park! As much as I miss the gray, rainy weather we're used to in the Pacific Northwest, the sunny skies have given me plenty of opportunities to take my daughter to the park. As I was watching her play last week, I started thinking about similarities to social media marketing. Read about them here

4 PR Tips from Sewing Curtains: This post shares PR tips from sewing curtains. Another Pinterest project taken from ideation to reality, I decided to embark upon a big sewing project this weekend to spruce up my apartment's interior design. After measuring my space, I took off to the fabric store to gather all of the supplies.
