THREE GIRLS GOSSIP

Monday is Star Wars Day! (Get it? "May the 4th be with you...") Are you a fan of Star Wars? Which movie is your favorite? And which character(s) do you like the best? We asked our staff, and here's what they said:

Erika: "I have such memories of the very first Star Wars movie when it came out! The incredibly long lines, the news coverage, the record-breaking box office sales... I think I was about 10 at the time. I thought Princess Leah was one bad a%# chick! There were so many other great characters and I especially looked forward to the cast of extras and small players in each film who were so wacky and had great makeup. My younger brothers were gaga over the movie and had some of the toys, which were completely off limits to me, of course. None of the following movies had quite the same mystique for me."

Emily: "I have a lot of fond childhood memories of Star Wars! I love the original trilogy (Empire Strikes Back is my favorite) and loved camping out to see Episodes I-III on opening night, even though they weren't nearly as good. In fact, my friends and I had tons of fun dressing up for Episode III when we were in college (pictured above - I'm on the far left as C3PO)! I think my favorite character is probably Han Solo. I love his development over the course of the trilogy, and I don't care what you say - he definitely shot first!"

Beth: "I remember watching Star Wars with my parents as a kid and loved the Ewoks! I have always been more of a Battlestar Galactica fan though, both the 1980's version and especially the 2004 Reimagining. I could watch that show over and over forever; sci-fi is my favorite genre!"

Natalie: "I've never really seen them - I saw Episodes 1 and 2 when they first came out but they're not really my thing."

Daily Venus Diva featured Curvy Girl Lingerie's new line of plus-size swimwear. "The latest brand to give designing swimwear a try is Curvy Girl Lingerie. The plus size retailer is normally synonymous with all things plus size lingerie, but their new swimwear line, Curvytini is designed with the plus-size woman in mind.
