THREE GIRLS GOSSIP

Do you have a furry best friend? Research shows that those who have pets are happier, healthier, visit the doctor less often, feel more secure than those without furry friends and more. Here's a look at the cute, cuddly pets of Three Girls.

Erika: "The first pet I got on my own as an adult was Beagie the Beagle. We trained and worked together as an Occupational Therapy Team in a children's critical care facility. My current pooch is Effy (pictured). She's a chihuahua mix of some sort and always needs to be the center of attention. She even grumbles sometimes when my husband and I hug and will come and bump up against our legs so she can join in. She loves to play with her stuffed toys - a beaver with a squeaker in it is her current favorite - and will run around the house with them. We're excited to move into our new house with her because she'll have a full acre and a half to run and play on."

Beth: "My dog Shiloh is my best friend. He loves to be outdoors and we enjoy going hiking, camping and rabbit tracking together! He is a 7-year-old beagle so he's very active and is always 'on the sniff.'"

Natalie: "My two pets are Raleigh and Biscuit. Raleigh is a 10-year-old Golden Retriever and Husky mix rescue dog. He loves to run and go to the beach. Biscuit is a 12-year-old cat who loves to hunt and bring home his finds."

Emily: "Although I've never had a real pet, one of my favorite 'pretend' furry friends is my giant stuffed dog, Brutus. My brother mailed him up to me as a surprise when I was living in the dorms in college, and although his size was a bit cumbersome, he's remained a source of entertainment - from coming along on road trips to Canada to watching my daughter (who's half his size) drag him around the house. I even took a picture of her with him every week for a year so you could see how much she grew as a baby!"

Have you seen our clients in the news recently? Here are a couple of recent placements we secured:

HLN Online ran an article Louise Green wrote asking readers to stop judging everyone of size as one. "I still weigh more than 200 pounds...But regardless of my internal health and fitness, certain people will always judge me by my outward appearance, and that is wrong. And it doesn't stop with everyday people. We are also seeing professional athletes who carry extra weight subjected to the same unfair projections." See the full article here

The San Jose Mercury News shared details about Hotel Valencia Santana Row's wine stroll to benefit the Silicon Valley Education Foundation. "Winery representatives will pour their varietals from 6 to 8 p.m. at stores throughout Santana Row. A reception will follow from 8 to 9 p.m. at Vbar inside the Hotel Valencia." Read more here.
