THREE GIRLS GOSSIP

Three Girls' Thanksgiving Highlights

Last week the Three Girls team enjoyed some relaxing time with family and friends in honor of Thanksgiving. Here are a few highlights:

Erika: "Dennis and I were really excited to share Thanksgiving Day with Emily & her husband's family. The feast was amazing! The day after Thanksgiving we always go and cut down a Christmas tree and this year was no exception. We'd never seen concolor trees (sometimes called white fir) before when we were living in California, but they're beautiful and we think it's gorgeous all decorated (pictured right)."

Emily: "In addition to a fantastic feast and time with friends & family on Thanksgiving Day, we had the chance to go bowling on Black Friday. While I certainly enjoyed winning one of the games, my favorite part was seeing how excited my daughter was to bowl for the first time."

Beth: "Over Thanksgiving break, my brother visited me and we went hiking. For Thanksgiving dinner we tried to make homemade lefse (a traditional Norwegian dish) for the first time, which was hard! Thanksgiving weekend was also Apple Cup, a rivalry football game held in my college town. Some friends came to visit and we had a blast throwing an impromptu snowball fight since it was the first snow of the year."

Natalie: "My highlights were having Thanksgiving dinner out with my family (no one was interested in cooking/cleaning) and then meeting my friends for a marathon shopping spree! My favorite purchases included Sephora makeup for 1/3 of the regular price, new boots for 60% off and three movies for less than $2 each."

Jasmine: "I had an enjoyable Thanksgiving with my family. We skipped Black Friday shopping but had a fun time watching 'Big Hero 6' with my younger siblings and grandma."

CLIENT CHITCHAT
We love our clients! Check out two noteworthy businesses we recently posted about on our blog:

Home is Where the Art Is: Working from home is arguably one of the greatest perks of my career as a publicist. There is no daily commute in traffic, I can wear whatever I want and I have the ability to spend a lot of time at home with family. However, the long hours of working in the house can start to deplete the comfort of being at home. Working with Julianne Quelle Interior Design at Three Girls Media is a delight because I learn more every week about interior design and why it is so important to turn a house into a home. Holistic Health with Acupuncture and Herbs: Admitting your own flaws is tough. Perhaps it's the shame of acknowledging you aren't perfect, or competition to keep up with a world obsessed with perfection. Luckily, my time with Three Girls Media has allowed me the opportunity to work directly with local health experts at Healing Tortoise Acupuncture and Herbs. Owned and operated by Moses and Julie Jenkins, who met while undergoing rigorous training in Eastern medicine, Healing Tortoise is committed to providing natural healing for patients from all walks of life. Have you seen our clients in the news recently? Here are a couple of recent placements we secured:

Men's Health included Adam & Eve in their 'Sexiest Gifts for Women' guide. "This vibe has an ergonomic handle that makes it perfect for couple's play. The waterproof, rechargeable L'Arque is made of silky-smooth silicone and shiny plastic, and has four vibration patterns and three speeds to bring her to the edge every time." Read more here.

HLN featured Louise Green in their article about it being possible to be overweight AND fit. "Green, who is still 50 pounds overweight, runs half marathons regularly, and says that she is in the best shape of her life. 'We can't presume that fat people cannot be healthy,' she said. 'They can be.'" Read more here.

business_people2.jpg Public Relations Firms - 7 Questions to Ask: Need help getting the word out about your business? It's easy to do a Google search for, "public relations firms," but how do you know which ones are worth partnering with? Here are 7 questions to ask public relations firms to help you find the best fit for your company.

3 Social Media Marketing Lessons from Let's Make a Deal: If you've never seen Let's Make a Deal you are in for a treat. This just may be the craziest, wildest show on TV and host Wayne Brady brings the fun. While watching the game show on my holiday break I couldn't help but find social media marketing lessons behind doors number 1, 2 and 3. Here are the three insights I gleaned.

3 Public Relations Lessons from a 2-Year-Old: A couple of weeks ago my daughter turned 2 years old. Back in January I wrote a post about public relations lessons you can learn from a toddler. Of course, one thing about motherhood is you constantly see your child change and develop, so here are three new lessons she's recently reminded me about.
