THREE GIRLS GOSSIP

Are you excited for Labor Day Weekend? How do you plan to celebrate the last weekend of summer? Do you have any traditions? We asked the Three Girls team, and here's what they said:
Erika: "For me BBQing on Labor Day weekend is a must! I'm super excited about the new smoker I got about a month ago and am planning a repeat of the incredible pork rib recipe I made recently. It involves braising in the oven for a couple of hours on super low heat, then transferring to the smoker for another couple hours. They're fall-off-the-bone delicious! Oh, and beer is a must to accompany the ribs! Good 'ole Bud Light is my standby, but I'm looking forward to trying the new award-winning Heineken light."
Emily: "I grew up spending Labor Day Weekend in the Santa Cruz Mountains in California every year with family and friends from my church. It was a blast! We picked tons of blackberries, went hiking & swimming and played field games that included the standard tug-of-war and not-so-standard 'catch a flying fish' competition (one year they literally shot raw fish over the field and you had to try to catch them!). Since relocating to Washington I haven't been able to go, but this year we'll be spending time with family so I'm sure we'll have fun."
Eric: "I don't know of any traditions in my family. However, I would like to start taking a little trip with my son once he's old enough."
Jasmine: "I enjoy going to Bumpershoot on Labor Day Weekend. It's an arts and music festival that takes place in Seattle every year. I took the picture to the right back in 2008 with the infamous Seattle Scarf Man."
Paul: "A favorite Labor Day memory for me is camping in Big Sur as a child with family for many years. For Labor Day this weekend, I'll be smoking pork rib tips, after brining and dry rubbing them. Yum!"

Robin Williams: 6 PR & Writing Tips From His Characters - Many people (including myself) were shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Robin Williams. As I've been thinking about Robin Williams recently, I've realized there's a lot we can learn from his characters when it comes to getting the word out about your business. From writing tips to general marketing advice, here are 6 public relations lessons from some of my favorite Robin Williams movies.
Social Media Management: 5 Lessons From Mobile Marketing Stats - Social media management continues to prove an effective marketing strategy for companies, both large and small. A new study shows that, while a higher percentage of users check their social media accounts from the computer (64%), those checking from their mobile devices (such as smartphones and tablets) are actually more engaged. What does this mean for you? Mobile marketing is vital to the success of your business' social media campaign. Read more in this blog post.
LinkedIn Groups: 3 Tips to Help Your Business - LinkedIn is a powerful tool to make connections and grow your business. Setting up a LinkedIn profile is a good first step, but there's more you can do to increase exposure. LinkedIn groups are an underutilized feature of the social media site. With this in mind let's take a look at some ways LinkedIn Groups can be used to help your business. See them in this blog post.
