Curvy Girl Lingerie recently hosted two really exciting events with a couple of notable celebrities. Here's how they went:
Event 1: "Change Your World, Not Your Body" with Jes Baker
"Body love is a lifestyle. A movement. A complete cultural paradigm shift. And body love is a critical revolution that both men and women need to improve their lives."
Jes' event was fabulous body-love-fest! There were more than 50 attendees, including Marilyn Wann, the author of " Fat!So?" (pictured with Jes). Jes offered a lot of sage advice, hugs and selfies for everyone.
Jes, also known as the Militant Baker, gained notoriety after writing an open letter to the CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch regarding their stance of carrying only 'regular' sizes. Thanks to it going viral, the high-end clothier is now selling plus-size wear.
Event 2: "Eff Your Beauty Standards" with Tess Munster
Curvy Girl was thrilled to welcome nearly 100 women along with Tess!
Tess is a world famous plus-size supermodel and star of A&E's "Heavy" whose "Eff Your Beauty Standards" movement has touched women and men all over the planet. She recently founded the #EffYourBeautyStandards movement which has over 65,000 shares on Instagram alone. Tess also has a tremendous following on Facebook with over 350,000 fans.
Tess was most recently in Australia on tour "down under" and was kind enough to stop by Curvy Girl to share her love with our Bay Area curvy girls.
Make sure you're following Curvy Girl on Facebook so you stay in the loop and don't miss their next exciting events!

Grow Your Social Media: 3 Lessons from Rain - Rain gets a bad rap. True, no one likes soggy feet or the feeling when an ice cold drop trickles down your neck. These inconveniences aside, precipitation is a critical component of modern life; so too is social media. While the latter may not dirty your glasses, it's easy to draw a comparison between the two. Read about them in this blog post.
Advertising Techniques: 4 Classic Tactics That Still Matter - Promoting your small business can be a daunting task in a world filled with digital media and ever-evolving advertising techniques and trends. How do you make your small business stand out among competitors in a meaningful and effective way without annoying customers? The answer is simple and might mean going back to the most essential forms of communication: writing and talking. Check out these 4 classic advertising techniques and how they can make a big impact for your small business!
Social Media Engagement: 6 Ways to Get People Talking - Before I became a publicist, I visited the worlds of Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest every so often. I never commented. If something was considered epic, I'd share it, but the event was rare. Now that I am fully enveloped in social media on a regular basis, I've come to realize the extreme importance of engagement. Instead of focusing on the quantity, put more of an effort into the quality of content that you put out there to boost engagement and get people talking. Find out how in this blog post.
