THREE GIRLS GOSSIP

What did you do Easter weekend? What do you like about this holiday? We asked the Three Girls team to weigh in; here's what they said:

Erika: "My favorite thing about Easter is painting eggs. I get really creative and, instead of using the Paas dying kit, I make natural dyes using fruits and veggies. For example, boiled beets with a little vinegar added makes a gorgeous purple color and kale makes a stunning green! Before we put the eggs in the dye we use color crayons or wax drippings from a candle to decorate them. This year I was excited to go to Emily's for Easter. I was officially in charge of the egg dying so I brought out my fruits & veggies for homemade dye - it was great!"

Emily: "My favorite Easter memories include the sunrise church service, French toast for brunch, spending time with family and Easter egg hunts! This year, I was excited for my daughter to get to do her first Easter egg hunt (she's almost a year and a half) in addition to dying eggs with Erika's homemade dye!"

Paige: "Growing up, my mom and I would go shopping for my Easter dress every year. It was always an adorable, fluffy, flowery dress that screamed springtime. After church, we would participate in some sort of Easter egg hunt either at my grandparent's or at the church. I've always been a sucker for an Easter egg hunt as well as decorating eggs and I have kept up the tradition in some shape or form my entire life. This year I headed out to my boyfriend's cabin with his 'adoptive' parents where we installed a fence (not so festive!), decorated eggs and relaxed a bit! We then headed back to his 'parents' house for a big Easter dinner. It was exciting!"

Stefanie: "We always did Easter egg hunts and such after church. I always loved wearing hats with my dresses on Easter too! This year we did a flashlight egg hunt with my niece and nephew. Every few years my family has a double holiday since my birthday falls on Easter; this year was one of those years!"

TIPS & TRICKS
Marketing Plan Tip: Using Google Plus for Business - Did you include social media as a component of your marketing plan this year? Which networks are you focusing on? If Google Plus isn't part of the plan yet, it should be. It turns out, the more active you are on this network, the more likely you'll show up in related organic Google searches. See some fascinating stats and learn about 5 benefits to Google+ in this blog post, or just watch the video above!

Social Media & Shoes Galore: From Your Feet to Facebook - This week around the office we have been obsessing over each other's shoe collections. We each have our favorites, some for comfort, some for the glam factor and others for the durability. You may be asking, "What the heck could shoes possibly have to do with marketing or social media," right? Well, as I was going through my closet I realized that the way I work with social media is a lot like I look at my shoes! In this blog post I share three tips for social media success based on my collection of stilettos and sling backs.

SEO & Content Management: 5 Ways to Stand Out

Fun Fact #1: The amount of information on the Internet is expected to increase by 600 percent by 2020. That's a lot of content.

Fun Fact #2: Americans spend roughly 10 hours a day consuming that content.

Question: How are your content management skills?

There is no point in producing content if it isn't SEO optimized and driven by a succinct and clear purpose. Content without a strategy is just stuff, and there is already a lot of stuff flooding people's brains. So how do you make your content stand out among the rest?
