THREE GIRLS GOSSIP

spring-time-clouds.jpg Are you excited for spring? Tell us why you like this season on our Facebook page! In the meantime, here's what the Three Girls team has to say about this time of year:

Erika: "For me, spring means the beginning of fishing season - it's time to get a new license! It also means planting time in the garden; this year I'm starting a sunflower patch with 6 different varieties! I love to see everything blooming here. Spring also means kayaking season is about to begin. I love fishing in my kayak and am putting the word out to local trout to watch out for me! Here I come! Oh, and spring also marks the approach of grilling season. I can't wait to fire up the BBQ!"

Emily: "As a big San Francisco Giants fan, this time of year means baseball season! Over this past week I've been enjoying watching games and dressing my 16-month-old in Giants clothes. Of course, it's also fun to see the plants blooming. This is one time of year that's gorgeous in the Pacific Northwest!"

Mericia: "What I like about spring is that the weather is finally turning and I'm able to hang out outside without a freezing. Sadly, everything else associated with spring gives me allergies though!"

Stefanie: "I love Seattle in the spring...going to baseball games, cruising down Alki with a slurpee, riding the ferry, walking downtown and just enjoying the Pacific Northwest. My absolute favorite thing to do is pack a picnic and go to one of the beach state parks and admire how beautiful it is. BBQs are a great part of spring too! I think what I love most about spring is that as the weather warms up people come out and there is ample time to spend with friends and family!"

Paige: "Spring means rain! It also means there are only a couple more months until summer! Spring in the Pacific Northwest is pretty; everything is coming out from under the winter sadness and it's time to start doing outdoor activities! I always want to get a dog when spring starts so I can have a running and hiking buddy (not sure that's going to happen this year...) It's time for flowers, egg decorating, prepping for camping season and lighter clothes!"

TIPS & TRICKS

Visuals: Marketing with the Perfect ImagesVisuals: Marketing with the Perfect Images - We've discussed the importance of visuals in your brand's marketing efforts before, but how do you go about selecting a specific photo?

Mashable recently wrote about a study conducted at Georgia Tech that shows people prefer images that include faces. "In fact, of 1.1 million randomly selected Instagram photos analyzed with face detection software, those with faces were 38% more likely to get likes and 32% more likely to get comments," the article reported. "We are naturally attracted to faces ...we are social animals and want to see other people - it's comforting to us and makes us safe. This is engrained in us at a very early age, when babies are looking for the support of their parents."

What does this mean for you? Find out in this blog post or in the video above.

Allison Argent & Teen Wolf: 3 Lessons from the Wolf Pack - We all know that I love to write about the things that caught my attention during the week and today's blog post is no exception. There are 24 Monday nights each year that I can be found in Beacon Hills or just glued to my TV, and this past Monday was one of the most enthralling Monday's of them all! That's right folks; I am a loud and proud Teen Wolf fan and this week's season finale, as well as the previous death of fan favorite Allison Argent, still has my head spinning! In this blog post, I introduce three marketing and public relations lessons that can be learned from this 1980's movie remake turned teen heartthrob supernatural action adventure.

Content Marketing: How To Make a Blog Post SEO-Friendly - We've all heard it over and over again, "Content is King," when it comes to blogging. However, in business we don't just blog for fun; we blog for several other reasons, including content marketing, to drive web traffic, to show off your business' expertise and to generate leads. Blog posts don't just need to engage your audience; they also need to be SEO-friendly. Did you know that 97% of people use search engines to find blog posts? That's a lot of people who could stumble onto your blog through organic Internet searches, so you need to make sure search engines can find your work. Here are four things to keep in mind to make your business blog posts SEO-friendly.
