What have been your highlights so far? I'd love to hear from you! Read below for a few thoughts from the Three Girls team.

Also, today's e-newsletter features a "Love Letter to Your Bully" campaign you won't want to miss in addition to some new hot headlines and easily overlooked marketing lessons from Scrabble. Keeping reading for the full scoop!

All the best,

THREE GIRLS GOSSIP

iceskate-blade.jpg Have you been enjoying the Olympics? Which events are proving most memorable this year?

Here's what Erika thinks: "One of the most dramatic competitions this year has been men's figure skating. It was one of the deepest Olympic fields in recent history and everyone was looking forward to the showdown between Patrick Chan and Yuzuru Hanyu as well as superstar Russian Yevgeny Pleshenko. On the first night of competition, Pleshenko shocked the crowd and his country by withdrawing just prior to his skate. Then, Hanyu set the bar with the short program scoring an all time world record 101.45 points. However, when it came to the long program, the entire night was a disaster. Remarkably, not only did Chan & Hanyu both have multiple falls and mistakes, so did the entire rest of the field (with the one exception of Kazakhstan's Denis Ten, who ended up taking the bronze - the first time the county has ever medaled in men's figure skating). Former U.S. National Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysechek said, 'In more than 20 years of figure skating I've never seen a competition like this.' I have to say I agree. Thoroughly disappointing."

Emily hasn't had as much time to watch the Olympics this year, but she loved the USA vs. Russia men's hockey game. "One of my favorite movies is Miracle (in fact, I just watched it again the other night), so it was kind of fun to see the two countries face off nearly 35 years later - especially given the shoot out at the end!"

CLIENT CHITCHAT

Don't miss the latest campaign from Curvy Girl Lingerie! Last week they launched a "Love Letter to Your Bully" campaign, encouraging overweight women who have been shamed to stand up to those who have made negative comments about them by writing their bully a letter and sharing their feelings of self-acceptance. To participate, all you have to do is create your own meme or simply write a letter to those who have bullied you and share it on the Curvy Girl Lingerie Facebook page.

In her own meme to those who have bullied her, Curvy Girl's Founder Chrystal Bougon writes, "Your hatred towards fat people FUELS MY FIRE to spend every waking moment showing curvy women how sexy they are. All women deserve to feel sexy and beautiful. My heart breaks for you that you cannot see the beauty in all bodies. I hope one day you find some LOVE in your life so that you can learn to love yourself and stop putting fat women down to fill your sad, empty heart. Choose love, not hate."

We love meeting our clients! Although we love that modern technology allows us to work with companies around the globe, sometimes this means we don't always have the chance to meet face-to-face. Fortunately, sometimes things work out just right, such as when Three Girls' Publicist, Mericia Gonzalez, happened to be in Las Vegas the same time one of our clients was there for a trade show. After working together closely by phone and email for months, Mericia and Sherif Zaki of CLEVERFIT Collar Stays were thrilled to have the opportunity to meet in person. TIPS & TRICKS

Scrabble! 3 Marketing Lessons from Words with Friends: While I will admit that I wasn't much of a Scrabble player when I was younger, I was definitely sucked into the smartphone app, Words with Friends, quite quickly. The colorful Scrabble copycat has stolen much of the attention I should be devoting elsewhere, but I frankly justify the game by claiming that it expands my vocabulary. But what you may not know is that Words with Friends offers a variety of stellar marketing lessons that can be applied to today's bustling business world. Read this blog post to learn how to score big on the marketing Scrabble board.
