THREE GIRLS GOSSIP

Do you have Super Bowl plans? We've got several football enthusiasts on the Three Girls' team, so here's the skinny on their favorite NFL teams, who they're rooting for in this year's Seattle vs. Denver showdown and more: 

 

Erika:

Favorite NFL Team: I have 2 favorites - #1 the Broncos & #2 the Seahawks 

Rooting for in the Super Bowl: Both! Either way I can't lose! But I have been a Broncos fan longer than I've loved the Hawks... 

Favorite Super Bowl Player(s) and Why: On the Broncos, Peyton Manning: Look at his career & the records set this season - need I say more? On the Seahawks, Marshawn Lynch: "Beast Mode!!!" He's one of the best defensive players in the NFL. 

What Else? I've never had BOTH of my favorite teams in a match-up like this - it's crazy and super exciting! I've been invited to a couple of Super Bowl parties, but they'll be Hawks-only crowds, so I'm hesitant to go because I'll want to show my Broncos some love and I know that won't go over very well... 


Emily:

Favorite NFL Team: Cleveland Browns! My husband and I even went to Cleveland to see them play on Monday Night Football for our first wedding anniversary. 

Rooting for in the Super Bowl: Since they're my 2nd favorite team...go Seahawks! 

Favorite Super Bowl Player(s) and Why: Marshawn Lynch for two reasons: I remember rooting for him when he played at UC Berkeley (go Cal Bears!) and I love Skittles. 

What Else? Although I'm rooting for the Seahawks, I'll be sporting my Browns gear on Super Bowl Sunday - one of these days it will be the right attire :) 

 

Paige:

Favorite NFL Team: Seahawks! #youmadbro #notimetosleep #gohawks 

Rooting for in the Super Bowl: Seahawks, obviously ;) 

Favorite Super Bowl Player(s) and Why: I have so many favorite players. Can it be tied? Golden Tate: He has the best victory walk and his footwork is amazing and Marshawn Lynch: He doesn't need the media to tell or talk to him about being a good player, he just is one. #beastmode 

What Else? I'm so sad! I've been traveling recently and booked my flight back to Seattle before knowing the date for the Super Bowl/teams that are playing and I'm going to be in the air for most of the game. Epic fail on my part! You can blame my boyfriend because he is flying home on the same day so we wanted to get to the airport about the same time from different places. 

 

Stefanie:

Favorite NFL Team: I was born and raised in Seattle. Helllllllloooooooo. Lol Seahawks everyday! 

Rooting for in the Super Bowl: Once a Hawks fan always a Hawks fan! We are loud and proud! 

Favorite Super Bowl Player(s) and Why: I love so many players on the Hawks, we have a really great team! I love Derrick Coleman for overcoming his disability of deafness (plus he went to UCLA, my favorite Pac 12 school), I love Wilson for his incredible character on and off the field, Kam Chancellor for his AMAZING hard-hitting defense but I have to say that my favorite player in all of the NFL is Richard Sherman! He is one of the most inspiration people I have come across and is the furthest thing from a "thug." He is incredibly educated and intelligent and has a heart for others. He may be a trash talker, but he has the stats to back it up and has the personality to leave all of us entertained. I proudly wear the #25!

What's going on at Mulberry School? Last week they hosted world-renowned artist Gary Hirsch from Portland, OR for the Bots Project. Based on the characters he created on the back of dominos game pieces that each have a persona such as bravery, compassion or kindness, Hirsch helped the students create their own Bots. Once they were created, the students in each class decided which community organization to give them to in an effort to teach students to do things for the greater good. Want to know more?
