THREE GIRLS GOSSIP
| |
A big congrats to Erika, who was just named an honoree of this year's Boss of the Year Awards given out by the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce and Express Employment Professionals! She will be recognized at a luncheon at St. Martin's University next Wednesday. Thanks for being such a great boss, Erika!
How was your Thanksgiving? Here are a few highlights from the Three Girls team's holiday break:
Erika & Dennis had a great time at a local tree farm. They took a hayride out to the far side of the farm & looked through 6 varieties of trees to find the perfect one. The farm also had a fun petting zoo with ponies, sheep, goats and chickens that were all super friendly. Even the chickens let the two of them pet them! There was also a gift shop and they bought some pumpkin butter, which is super delicious! After taking two days to fully decorate their tree and home, Erika & Dennis are happy with the way everything is set-up for their first Christmas in Washington.
Emily and her husband packed up the baby and traveled down to Portland to see her husband's sister and son during the break. In addition to a delicious Thanksgiving feast (Emily loves her sister-in-law's brussels sprouts!), they had a great time walking around the Lloyd Center and visiting a local park where the baby could swing and her older cousin could run around. All in all it was a great trip!
Paige has great friends. When one of them (Matt) found out she wasn't going to be visiting Boise, ID for Thanksgiving, he bought her a plane ticket out there. Together, Matt and Paige plotted to surprise her best friend, Johanna, at church. She had NO idea Paige was coming! Thus began an awesome week and possibly the best Thanksgiving Paige ever had with four of her closest girl friends, a Game of Thrones marathon and way too much food!

OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITIES - DEADLINE EXTENDED!
| |
Do you know a Silicon Valley woman that deserves recognition? The YWCA Silicon Valley's annual Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Awards is now accepting nominations for the 2014 awards! The deadline was just extended to December 18, so don't delay!
Since 1984 the YWCA Silicon Valley has recognized over 1,200 executive women leaders who exemplify excellence in executive-level positions, including our own Erika Taylor Montgomery. Nominated by their CEO, in most cases, their company is recognized not only for promoting women to executive positions, but for partnering with the YWCA to provide much needed programs and services in Silicon Valley. Companies who participate in the YWCA TWIN Awards by nominating an executive woman also provide financial support to the YWCA. How many other recognition events can say that?
For more information on how to nominate a deserving woman, contact (408) 295-4011 x216 or visit www.ywca-sv.org.
