Take a walk on the wild side! Includes LODGING, MEALS, PRIVATE GUIDE, daily transportation via truck to the preserves, hunter's license and permit, field preparation, laundry, pick up at Polokwane International Airport.
Includes $500 credit per person for trophy fees applicable towards any species and transport to taxidermist. That may cover some animals, others may be more. Look for these creatures during the day and share your stories by the fire in the evening.
Does not include airfare, gratuity, taxidermy, shipping, gun rental at approx. $50 per day plus ammo, alcoholic beverages (can be purchased on site).
For June, July or August 2014 or April - Sept. 2015 hunting season.
Notes:
With this type of safari you are with the animals where they live, versus being in a game park where you can't get out of your car or zoo where they are caged. You don't need to be an expert hunter, they will assist and teach you. You are in the wild and may see animals the size of a car, an incredible experience.
Options at additional cost (no substitutions, these are additional if you want: Houseboat guided fishing safari in Botswana starting @ $340 pp per day, photo safari for additional cost.
Optional pickup is available from Johannesburg (for 2 is $650/5 hour drive, for 4 is free. They are 2 hours from Polokwane and pickup from there is free.
Extra non-hunting days are $225/day per person including meals.
This firm offers some unusual trips such as bush walks with an orphaned caracal, cheetah or lions (depending on animal moods).
Fully appointed lodge in beautiful bushveld country, small town of Tom Burke just 6 miles from Botswana border. You stay at the lodge then are transported to hunting where you look for the animals via truck and walk with the guides to get close.
