Children's Advent and Christmas Calendar |
* Saturday, December 20 will be the Pageant Rehearsal beginning at 9 a.m. in the church proper. The rehearsal will last approximately 45 minutes. Don't forget the post-rehearsal activity (see next item).
* Sunday, December 21 will be the Christmas Pageant. Children should arrive by 9:30 a.m. and go to their classrooms to put on their costumes. The children need to be dressed and in their designated seats in the church by 10:15 a.m.
* On Sunday, December 28 and Sunday, January 4 we will not have Church School classes. Classes will resume on Sunday, January 11 at 9:30 a.m.

Post-Rehearsal Activity |
Plan to stay after the Pageant Rehearsal, Saturday, December 20, for a Christmas activity in Room 204, hosted by Jake and Jennifer Franklin. RSVP to Jennifer, [email protected]. Call or text 801-554-2179. We have some foam nativity ornament kits for the kids to assemble and some wreath ornament kits. We have a few games (toss-the-snowball-through-the-wreath and eat-the-donut-hanging-from-a-string contest) and we'll have some hot cocoa and treats. It should only take around an hour.

Festival of Christmas Cookies! Coffee hour on December 21
Everybody bring a couple dozen of your favorite Christmas cookies. We'll have some healthier fare on hand, too.

Greening of the Church | The ad hoc Christmas Committee and St. Paul's Altar Guild joyfully invite YOU to join them onTuesday, December 23 at 5 p.m. for the annual "Greening of the Church." This is always a joyous fellowship/decorating event and upon completion will be followed by a potluck dinner provided by the Altar Guild. All types of skills are needed as we transform the church from Advent into a wonderful holy Christmas theme to be enjoyed by all. All materials and supplies are provided -all you need to do is show up at 5 p.m.

Calling All Volunteers to General Convention 2015 | June 25 - July 3, 2015
Plan now to help welcome fellow Episcopalians from around the world to The Episcopal Church General Convention 2015. Bishop Scott Hayashi and the Diocese of Utah cordially invite you and your friends to join in volunteering to make this a memorable convention.
STEP 1 Online Registration available here NOW or call (801) 322-4131 and we will help you sign up.
STEP 2 After registering in step 1, you will be contacted when the Official Volunteer Schedule is online (early in 2015). In the meantime, you will receive updates and information about the General Convention.
STEP 3 After January, 2015, when the Official Volunteer Schedule is posted, you will receive an invitation to personalize your volunteer tasks, days and shifts. You will also be able to make changes if necessary.

Acolytes, Mark Your Calendars! | Acolyte Festival
Save the date of Saturday, April 25, 2015, when The Rt. Rev. Scott B. Hayashi will serve as host at the Cathedral Church of St. Mark, 231 E. 100 South, Salt Lake City. Attendees can choose from three workshops to be offered in two sessions (more detail to follow). The Acolyte Festival will conclude with the Service of Holy Eucharist and a re-dedication for all acolytes and leaders. Registration information will be coming soon.

Convention Seeks Youths |
Applications and nominations for high-school teens to participate in the General Convention Official Youth Presence (GCOYP) are now open and due December 23.
Members of the Official Youth Presence at General Convention will attend legislative committee hearings, will be encouraged to speak to issues in hearings, and may participate in debate on the floor in the House of Deputies.
