Caedmon's Family Safety Program
In an effort to facilitate our community's ability to support each other in the event of a severe weather situation or other form of citywide emergency, we have created a "Safety Family" program. Our goal is for parents who work or live a long distance from Caedmon to have the security of knowing that their child(ren) will be cared for and safe. If you would like to participate in this program, we invite you to ask a fellow Caedmon parent to agree to be your Safety Family. If you need a recommendation, please contact the Admissions office.

In the event that your primary caregivers are unable to pick up your child from school, the teacher would dismiss to his or her Safety Family. For security purposes, you will need to enter this other Caedmon family into My Back Pack. To do so, please log in to your account and take the following steps:
  1. Under "Settings" click "My Profile"
  2. Click "Edit"
  3. Click "Add" (found at the bottom of that page)
  4. Add the contact information for your Safety Family
  5. In the "Relation" field enter "Caedmon Safety Family"

By entering a Safety Family into My Back Pack, you are authorizing The Caedmon School to dismiss your child(ren) to the Safety Family listed.

Important: Student Information Forms
In order for your child to successfully begin school, all Student Information Forms, including medical records, must be completed and returned to the school as soon as possible. You may drop off documents with Pauline in Reception, Sue in the Main Office, or with Nurse Roe or Nurse Neis in the Health Center.

Second grade students will prepare for and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and their First Holy Communion.

No child will be enrolled in religion class without a specific request from a parent. Even if your child participated last year, you must request re-enrollment.
