 Background & Details

For those who are new to this project - each year, CLC gathers our members' recommendations for favorite books published for youth in the past 12 months. We cover all ages, from infant through high school. We pull the recommendations into printable booklists that you can distribute to your patrons. While this has always been a holiday project, this year we are eliminating "holiday" from the title, to give the lists more year-round appeal. We're also thinking beyond print and PDF, but a variety of options are possible depending on your feedback ... read on!
  Also new this year:
- We've set up a simple online form for you to submit your picks -  http://bit.ly/2013booklist
 - On this same form, we're asking you 2 short questions that will help us decide what format to use for the lists this year.
 - We'll be making more of an effort to promote the lists to media outlets, so the public will recognize that librarians are truly the book experts!

So ... please start thinking about your favorites, write a SHORT synopsis for each, and share them with us by Wednesday, November 20. Send whatever you loved this year - fiction and non-fiction - with a focus on books that would make great gifts.
Here is a link to prior years' lists for inspiration:  http://www.ctlibrarians.org/children
Thanks in advance for your contributions!
  Best, Christine
