Greetings!
I'm going to begin this newsletter by quoting the poet
Jessie B. Rittenhouse, who published this poem in 1918:
My Wage
I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However, I begged at evening,
When I counted my scanty store.
For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial's hire,
Only to learn dismayed,
That any wage I had asked for of Life,
Life would have willingly paid.
Is what you asked of life what you are now receiving? Did you set the wages that are now not enough, and if you didn't, what are you going to do about it? Education holds the answer for many of you, if you just make the decision and stick with it!
Gracias,
John A. Flores, MBA - Author

Weekly "Dicho con Café"
"La vida no es puro placer."
The author's translation is:
"There is more to life than leisure!"
What this means is that life is not a bed of roses and as such, you might just have to work or study a little harder
if you want the luxury of enjoying a life that has some leisure in it. As I mentioned in previous newsletter, many of us weren't born with a silver spoon in our mouth or have some rich uncle who will leave his wealth to us and the chances are that if we do have such an uncle, he will outlive us! So, you need to "get off of your brain" and put it to work so that you can in time enjoy what you feel is your goal in life. There will be hardships and setbacks in your struggle to succeed, but that is the price all of us have to pay in order for our future to be more secure.

More About John A. Flores
The Floreses have been traveling around the world over the last twenty-plus years, once Mrs. Flores got Mr. Flores to finally get a passport for which he kept putting off applying. It's called procrastination! To make sure that he got one, she booked a trip to Europe with no refund! Well, in order not to lose the deposit, Mr. Flores got his passport and they visited Europe and they haven't stopped traveling since. Twenty years ago, both of them would take trips that involved walking, climbing, and much more strenuous exercise that allowed them to walk on the Great Wall of China, climbing through castles throughout Europe, walking many of the streets of the larger cities in Europe such as Paris, Rome, Athens, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Oslo, Madrid, Lisbon, Barcelona, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Stockholm, Copenhagen and many more as well as many of the cities in Asia such as Singapore, Seoul, Beijing, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo, Shanghai, among others. Now that they are older, cruising on a ship and visiting many of the Caribbean countries as well as those in Central and South America is much more appealing. When they were traveling by land, it was getting up early each morning after packing the night before and spending all day traveling and visiting many sites then checking into another hotel and going to bed early in order to get an early start the next day! This was repeated many times whether traveling in Europe or Asia. Sometimes, it was so tiresome that they could hardly wait to get home so that they could rest! As many of you might already know, once you're on a cruise ship, you unpack once and dine whenever you want, and have the choice of getting off the ship and visiting the different sites by foot, taxi, carriage or take a side tour to see parts of the country being visited. In other words, it's much more relaxing, but the Floreses are still looking forward to a few more land trips simply because that is the only way to see some of the countries they still want to visit especially in the old Eastern Bloc and other Asian countries, such as Nepal and Mongolia.
