Greetings!
Today's Scroll or Rule that I want to discuss with you today is: "I Will Act Now!" All of your dreams will be worthless and your plans will become dust, and each of your goals will become impossible, unless you decide to say to yourself, "I Will Act Now!" There is no map, no matter how detailed, that will carry its owner one inch or a parchment of law which will prevent one crime, or even the scrolls that I've written about that will produce a penny or a single word of acclamation. Action, alone, is the tinder which ignites the map, the parchment, the scrolls, your dreams, your plans and your goals into a living force. Action is the food and drink which will nourish your success.
You must act now! Don't procrastinate! Act Now! Remember the firefly who only gives light when it is on the wing, only give light when it is in action. Become that firefly and even in the day, your glow will be seen in spite of the sun. Let others be as butterflies who preen their wings yet depend on the charity of a flower for life. Be a firefly and your light will brighten the world...
Act Now! Repeat these words when you awake and then leap out of bed, while the failure sleeps yet another hour! Say these words over and over again so that when you are tempted to quit and begin again tomorrow, you will act to move a step closer to your goals. Also remember that for now today is all you have. Tomorrow is reserved for the labor of the lazy. When the lion is hungry, he eats. When the eagle is thirsty, he drinks. Lest they act, both will perish. Therefore, hunger for success. Thirst for happiness and peace of mind. Unless you act, you will perish in a life of failure, misery and sleepless nights. Give the command and you will obey your command...I Will Act Now!
Gracias,

Weekly "Dicho con Café"
"Si quieres ser rico, no le preguntes consejos al pobre."
The author's translation is:
"If you want to be rich, don't ask for advice from the poor."
What this means is: How do you expect to get sound financial advice from one who is possibly worse off than you? If you want to be wealthy, seek advice from those that have made their money and can share with you some do's and don'ts about what they did to accumulate wealth. What books did they read? What classes did they take? What type of investments did they make? In other words, pick their brain for any insight that will help you reach your financial or personal goals quicker. Too often, those with little money wind up losing what little in savings they have because they listened to some bad advice, and that advice normally came from those that are even poorer! Get a real estate license so that you might be able to "dabble" in real estate, or take an accounting class so that you learn to read a financial report and know whether you're making or losing money! In other words, do something! How many times has someone paid attention to a friend of a friend who knows someone that can give you some financial advice, and the friend and their friend are worse off than you? How come they didn't seek out the advice you are now being asked to take? Choose those that give you advice carefully, and sometimes it is not your friend(s)!

More About John A. Flores
During his life, Mr. Flores has been involved in many business ventures that included restaurants, fast-food outlets, a tire shop, safety and business consulting, real estate, writing books and just buying and selling items that turn a profit, as well as a professor at different institutions both locally and abroad. In each of these ventures, Mr. Flores didn't begin the businesses by borrowing money, but rather used his own money that he had saved and then made his investment. He learned to save a little at a time by putting money in a jar as so many of you might have done, but the difference is that he didn't spend the money on some "want" item, but rather he used those savings to purchase something that could turn a profit or begin a business that showed profitability. As an example, he once came across a school that was selling their small moving van for $2,000. He did a quick check on the internet and found that the van was worth at least $4,000 if they just waited and went through the process of advertising and showing it to prospective buyers, but they no doubt didn't want to bother with doing this. Mr. Flores took $2,000 from his savings, purchased the van and two weeks later sold it for $4,000, turning a profit of $2,000 in a two-week period. Now, what would have happened if he didn't have money in savings? In all probability, he wouldn't have made the purchase and not realized the profit. In other words, save your money and wait for opportunities that will allow you to turn a quick profit. In another example, he purchased a property for $50,000 with his savings, from a company that had repossessed the property and just wanted to sell it and not bother with fixing it up! While workers were making improvements of another $5,000 to replace some fixtures, he sold it for $115,000! He didn't even advertise, but rather someone drove by and they liked what they saw and bought it! This was a $60,000 profit in less than 6 weeks! This doesn't happen every day, but when it happens and the opportunity arises, you are given the opportunity to make the purchase on a very good deal! Everyone can save IF they want to even if it's $1 per day which is $365 per year or $1,825 in five years. With that amount, maybe you'll have an opportunity to also double your money with a wise purchase!
Mr. Flores
now puts 25% of his earnings into savings,
thus giving him greater flexibility purchasing items that are pricier, but can turn a profit after careful consideration of what he is purchasing as well as considering the possibility of a good return. As he states to his audiences, "you have to start sometime," so do it NOW!
