Greetings!
Today, as we continue on with the discussion on the ten scrolls that are highlighted from from Og Mandino's book, The Greatest Salesman In The World, we are going to continue with last week's law, from the sixth scroll which states: "Today I will be master of my emotions." I mentioned ways to counter the negative emotions by displacing them with positive actions to neutralize and overcome those moments of discouragement when they arise. At the same time, while it's important to be confident, we should also be aware to use caution so as not to become overconfident.
WHEN OVERCONFIDENT: Take the time to recall your defeats for the purpose of learning a lesson.
WHEN YOU OVERINDULGE: Think about the times when you felt hunger.
WHEN YOU'RE COMPLACENT: Remember your competition.
WHEN YOU WIN: Don't forget the moments of practice and defeat.
WHEN YOU FEEL POWERFUL: Try and stop the wind (it's impossible to do).
WHEN YOU ATTAIN GREAT WEALTH (and I believe you will): Remember one unfed mouth.
WHEN YOU FEEL YOUR SKILLS ARE UNMATCHED: Look at the stars!
Remember, above all, to be HUMBLE.
You are a MIRACLE and there is no one that lived before or who will come after you that will be identical to you. You are unique and you will be successful IF you learn to control your emotions, along with the application of other laws that I am sharing with you.
Gracias,
John A. Flores, MBA - Author

Weekly "Dicho con Café"
"Carro nuevo y con las tripas clara."
The author's translation is: "A new car and an empty stomach."
This dicho makes reference to a person who has his priorities out of order. In this example, while they have a new car, they have no food to eat, or no money left over to take care of their basic needs. This happens often, when people purchase something for show and then paying the price later. I once had a friend who would come into a good sum of money every few years, and the first thing he would do was go out and buy an expensive car. Six months later, he would place an ad in the paper in order to sell the car! He wanted to show the world that he had money, but nobody knew that he had nothing in his cupboards. For many, this type of foolish purchase beyond their means will only make them feel good for a short time, until it is repossessed or sold (usually at a loss). Be careful on how you spend your money, and discipline yourself to spend only when you can truly afford it! This advice will save you many headaches, telephone calls and letters from creditors, as well as MONEY! There is a principle in business that I follow which states: "If you want to be successful, don't work for money, but rather have money work for you!" The principle works the same in our personal lives as well. Think about it and it'll make sense!

More About John A. Flores
As a businessman, Mr. Flores is always looking at opportunities that will provide the financial returns for him and his wife, in order to make their lives comfortable, providing for their ability to take trips, dine out, and purchase those items that will make their lives more comfortable. As a real estate broker, he continues to keep his eyes open for sound real estate investment opportunities which can provide additional security and income for him and his wife. In addition to looking for income sources, they also pay regular attention to their expenses. One thing they avoid is purchasing items on credit. Even when using a credit card for purchases, the amount charged is paid off at the end of the month, enabling them to avoid interest, and live a debt-free life! This frees up resources for him to delve into products using dichos that will not only help students, teachers and parents in their approach to life, but also provide another product that can be used to inspire or direct the young men and women of today towards a pathway that will lead to their success. He reminds his audiences that the most important thing to remember is that anyone can do things if they learn to save their money. The benefit of using your savings is that cash enables people to buy things at a discount, because of the ability to pay actual cash, enabling them to save more money, and make additional investments that will bring a greater financial return, which in time will give you a debt-free life, which is a blessing it itself. There is no greater feeling than to wake up each day knowing that you owe nothing to anyone and ensuring that your income will continue as long as you remember to save and make sound purchases.
