Weekly "Dicho con Café"
"Muchos pocos hacen un mucho."
The author's translation is that "A lot of a little makes a lot."
What this means is that little by little you'll get to where you want to go and that all the tasks in life cannot be done in a day, but over time. It encourages you to take small bites which can easily be swallowed instead of big bites which can cause you to choke! For your goals in life, break down your goals into smaller tasks and you'll finish the entire task much quicker and with a few less headaches. Try to do too much and you might just wind up doing very little!

More About John A. Flores
As you are aware by now, Mr. and Mrs. Flores like to travel. With 60 countries under their belt and another one or two in late November, Mr. Flores continues to remind his audiences that had it not been for the education he received, many of the things that he has been able to do and accomplish in his life would never have happened. His father, with only a second grade education, was a strong force in Mr. Flores getting his education. Being migrant workers, his schooling was paid for by working in the fields during the summer and getting a part-time job during his college years. His father constantly encouraged him to seek the education that would "get him out of the fields" where his father had spent his entire life. While it was honest work, it was also back-breaking work that made his mother a widow before her time. Mr. Flores realizes that education is the KEY to a better future and his mission is to encourage everyone to never stop learning. The books that he has written on dichos as well as other products he has developed, such as posters and coloring books, all carry the theme of educating those that take the time to read their messages. There are many dichos that address education and they can be found in his books and posters, but also in the many presentations that he gives to parents encouraging them, as his father encouraged him, to make sure that their children get the necessary education or skill that will allow them to live a more successful and better life. He encourages everyone to never stop learning and make it a habit of taking time to read each day. It can be done if you just make it a priority to do so! Do it until it becomes a habit and you'll be that much richer for it!
When he's not writing books, Mr. Flores makes presentations to local, regional and national groups, using dichos to motivate his audiences. You can contact him for speaking engagements at (559) 456-0128 or at his personal email at jaflores1246@comcast.net
