Graves-Miller Bill Will Better Conserve Gulf Red Snapper, Improve Access

On July 16, leaders in the recreational fishing community lauded new bipartisan legislation, the Gulf States Red Snapper Management Authority Act (H.R. 3094), by Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus (CSC) Members Congressmen Garret Graves (LA) and Jeff Miller (FL), along with all four House leaders of the CSC. The president of the Center for Coastal Conservation predicted that the legislation "will better conserve Gulf red snapper and finally give recreational anglers reasonable access to red snapper fishing"...

Wisconsin Sportsmen's Caucus Champions Bill Expanding State Wild Game Meat Donation Program

Earlier this month, leaders of the Wisconsin Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus, along with representatives from both the National Wild Turkey Federation and the League of Conservation Voters, joined Governors Sportsmen's Caucus member Governor Scott Walker as he signed into law Assembly Bill 107. The law, filed as 2015 Wisconsin Act 31, took effect on July 2 and focuses on facilitating the donation of excess wild turkey meat to food pantries across the state...

CSF to Participate in Wildlife Refuge Expo

On Tuesday, July 28, join the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) and various wildlife, sporting, and other conservation organizations at the National Wildlife Refuge Expo, hosted by the Congressional Wildlife Refuge Caucus. The Expo will feature: booths focusing on outdoor education as well as outdoor demonstrations, and a free raffle with a variety of outdoor gear.

Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation Names New Marketing Director

On June 20, the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF), the most respected and trusted sportsmen's organization in the political arena, announced today that Leslie Garrett has joined the organization as Marketing Director. Garrett comes to CSF with more than 15 years of combined marketing, communications, and public relations experience.  In this new role, Garrett will be responsible for establishing and implementing CSF's marketing strategies to increase brand awareness...
