New Hampshire Sportsmen's Caucus Co-Chair Awarded for Commitment to State's Sportsmen and Women
Rep. Gene Chandler, Co-Chair of the bipartisan, bicameral New Hampshire Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus, was recently awarded the Ellis R. Hatch, Jr. Commission Award of Excellence by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Commission. The award is presented annually to "an individual, group, organization, club, foundation or agency that has excelled in efforts to promote, enhance or benefit fish, wildlife or marine resources or the Department's mission through any variety of involvement"...


Legislation to Expand Sunday Hunting in North Carolina Heads to Governor's Desk

On Wednesday, June 24, the North Carolina Senate gave final legislative approval for Sunday hunting with firearms in North Carolina.  The Conference Report for House Bill 640, the 'Outdoor Heritage Act', was adopted by the Senate with a vote of 33-15 and will now head to the desk of Governor Sportsmen's Caucus member Governor Pat McCrory for his consideration...

Pennsylvania Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus Hosts Annual Cigar Reception

On June 23, the bipartisan, bicameral Pennsylvania Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus hosted its Annual Cigar Reception at the Susquehanna Ale House in Harrisburg, PA. Over 160 guests, including  over 70 members of the Caucus, Executive Directors of both the Pennsylvania Game Commission and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, and the Secretary of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, gathered for an evening of camaraderie and to discuss the policy issues affecting Pennsylvania's 1.4 million hunters and anglers...
