Student Leadership Program
Developed by Deacon Rick Wagner in 2003, the Student Leadership Program was created to help with the development of high school student leaders in a variety of different Catholic high schools across the archdiocese. Each fall, approximately 50 high school sophomores are chosen by their schools to attend the three-day program. They are divided into small groups that have representatives of at least six different schools, and they work on issues that schools deal with on a regular basis. The students spend a half day at Marian University in Indianapolis to learn from student leaders at the college level, as well as hearing from a variety of community leaders on the joys and struggles of leadership and how best to maneuver through it with integrity, humility, grace and the heart of a servant leader.

Congratulations to the following students from Bishop Chatard who participated in the Student Leadership Program last week: Matthias Benko, Maria Christoff, Anthony Cuevas, Oskar Eisgruber, Ashley Freiburger, Will Freiburger, Jane Gleaves, Kacee Haslett, Miles Lockrem, Michael Mates, Grace McGinley, Abby Stehlik and Drew Schrage.

We also want to recognize the BCHS students who helped lead this program: Patrick Haimburgh, Grace Lundy and Katie Meek
