 New File Upload Portal for 2013
My software company, Drake Software, has partnered with SecureFile Pro for preparers like myself to offer you, my client, a more efficient way of sharing documents. The "file upload" link on my website will now take you to the portal interface. If I have not yet created an account for you (you will receive an email when this happens), then drop me a message and I will set up your account so you can upload documents to me. I think you will be impressed with how much more efficient and reliable this portal is over my website forms.

IRS Headlines
 The IRS has announced that the filing season will begin on January 30, 2013. This means that no one can e-file OR paper file a tax return before Jan. 30th. You can submit your documents to me and I will begin preparation so that your return is ready when this date arrives.
A few taxpayers, such as those with depreciation and a few other forms, will not be able to file at this time. I will let you know as soon as this delay is lifted.
Also note that with the new modernized e-filing system, the IRS no longer publishes refund dates and I cannot speculate at all on this matter. In addition, YOU MUST be the one to use the "where's my refund" link on the IRS website. I will no longer be able to check this for you.
