THIS YEAR'S GRANT APPLICATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING CHANGES:- Buy Recycled Policy Eligibility Criteria - new annual notification requirement
- NEW: Mattress and Carpet Recycling Incentive - subsidy for transportation and processing
- School Recycling Assistance - new funding levels
- Waste Reduction Projects - new category to establish a permanent HHW facility ($250,000 maximum)

Organics Management Workshop: May 27th in Barnstable

RSVP to dquinn@barnstablecounty.org This workshop will provide an update on organic waste management on Cape Cod, including details from Harvest Power on their plans to construct an anaerobic digester in Bourne. Mary Ryther from Compost With Me will talk about her food waste collection and composting business in Falmouth. And Heather Billings from RecyclingWorks will speak about the organization's work with businesses around the State to help them comply with the Commercial Organics Waste Ban.

The State bid list for these items is now identified as FAC87 (formerly FAC61). It includes recycling barrels, recycling carts, organics carts, public space bins, roll offs, compost bins, kitchen scrap buckets, etc.
