Barnstable County's Cape Cod Cooperative Extension turns 100 years old this September. I've had the privilege of working out of the Extension office for the last few years on waste reduction projects. In addition to waste reduction assistance, the department also provides educational programs and technical assistance focusing on agriculture, marine resources, horticulture, aquaculture, natural resources, water quality, household hazardous waste, nutrition, food safety, youth development and environmental education issues facing the county.
