Here on Cape Cod the summer flies by so fast we, at Cape Cod Saltworks, hardly have a chance to catch a breath. In spite of the atypical July weather.... WE'VE GOT SALT! Read about all of our delicious, new products here! Caramels, Steamah Packets, travel jars and more!

Cape Cod Organic Farm is open daily at our Farmstand, 3675 Main Street Route 6A. Hours are Monay-Friday, 9am-5:30pm, Saturday- 9:30am-4:30pm, Sunday- 9:30am-4:30pm. In The Weeds Flowerfarm has spectacular bouquets for the same price of ten dollars. These bouquets have been conditioned, stripped of all lower foliage and should last more than a week. Our arrangements include an enormous variety of flowers, including (of course) hydrangea, coneflower, coreopsis, verbena bonarensis, salvia, snapdragons, marigolds, zinnia, lysmachia, lilies, vitex and so many more. Farmstand runs self-service and there are many to choose from. These bouquets are enormous for the price. Tomatoes and cukes and summer squashes will be on the table too. They move fast. Mornings are the best time for selection. Come and see for yourself why we sell out almost every day.

Borderbay Junction Farm will have Lamb available mid-September to November. Taking orders now for whole or half lambs.

The next Cape Cod Fish Share share will begin the first week in September.  We are offering a new home delivery option with bio-degradable cooler packing. We have also been accepted as a EBT Snap vendor and will be adding that form of payment option.

Cape Cod Coffee Roasters will be serving hot and iced coffee on Saturdays, 8-12 at the Orleans Farmers Market. And we just introduced coffees from Panama and a new Guatemala Antigua in our Mashpee Retail Shop.

Farmers' Markets

August 8 will be a busy day at the Harwich Farmers' Market as award-winning photographer and journalist Stephanie Foster will sign copies of her new book, "Farms of Cape Cod," featuring some Harwich farms, and the Village Crafters host a craft show from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the grounds of the museum.  August features live musical performances by the Cape Cod Chamber Ensemble, Bill Gallerizzo, Apples in Winter and David Mobed.  Please check out the market's new website harwichfarmersmarket.org or the Facebook page for weekly updates.

This is the month for corn and field tomatoes, for fuzzy peaches and cooling melons. At the Falmouth Farmers' Market, look for cukes and zukes, summer squashes, glossy eggplants, beets, beans, leeks, carrots, new potatoes, summer herbs and gorgeous flowers. Peachtree Circle Farm is growing even more heirloom tomatoes this year than last-we can hardly wait for them all to ripen. Cape Cod Fish Share will offer fresh-caught fish and shellfish, and Cape Cod Saltworks will be harvesting salt from the sea.  We'll also carry local eggs from Da Silva Farm, regional cheeses, breads and pastries (including gluten-free) honey, pickles and preserves. See falmouthfarmersmarket.org for directions, information and recipes, and visit us on Facebook for quick updates.
