Dance Festival Procedures
Dress Rehearsals:
- Students and parents should report directly to the auditorium, promptly at their rehearsal time.
- Professional photographs will be taken at dress rehearsals for those parents who present their order envelopes with payment in full (cash or check only) to the photo desk at dress rehearsal.
- Parents may video and take photographs only while students are on the stage at dress rehearsal.
- Specific directions about hairstyles and what to bring to dress rehearsals and performances are given to each student by their teacher in class. Please arrive with hair done. Makeup should be kept to a minimum. No red lips, please.
Performances:
Arrival: Children are to be dropped off at the security desk at the entrance to backstage. Please sign your child in when you drop them off. Act 1 Performers are to arrive one hour before curtain. Act 2 Performers are to arrive a few minutes before curtain time so parents can enter the auditorium promptly if they are watching the show.
What to Bring:
Specific directions about hairstyles and what to bring to dress rehearsals and performances are given to each student by their teacher in class. Please arrive with your child's hair styled, with only those items needed in a small dance bag. If directed by the teacher, please have them wearing tights and their nude-colored leotard when they arrive.
Makeup should be kept to a minimum. No red lips, please.
NO soda, juice, or food of any kind is permitted backstage. Students who are at the school for an extended period of time will be given a designated area to eat. Water is permitted.
Dismissal:
Kinders and Ballet 1 students will be dismissed at intermission, and must be picked up by an adult, at the security desk. Kinder students will be released first. Ballet 1 parents are asked to step back until all kinders have been picked up.
All remaining cast members will be dismissed at the end of the performance.
Other Details:
No costumes are permitted in the auditorium or lobby at any time.
Professional videotapes of each performance will be available for purchase. Order forms are available in the lobby at intermission, and after the performance as well at the Coupé Studio office.

Please .... Be Courteous.
We ask that patrons use discretion when entering and exiting the theatre during the performances. Please do so between dance numbers, so that all parents may watch their children performing on the stage without interruption or blocking of sight lines.
IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER THE PERFORMANCE BEGINS, YOU WILL BE SEATED WHEN THERE IS A PAUSE IN THE SHOW.

To all Coupé families:
Students' accounts must be paid in full no later than May 10th in order for students to receive costumes for dress rehearsals and performances and in order for students to register for classes in the future.
Charges may include tuition, costume rentals, and any fees that may have accrued during the year. Please bring your account current no later than May 10, 2016, and receive your 2016 Gold Card.
Tickets for Dance Festival 2016 that were placed by mail order are now available for pickup at the Front Desk at Coupé. Tickets may also be purchased there, if you account is paid in full.
